The Columbia State Annual Scholarship program provides alumni and friends the opportunity to give a scholarship in honor of, as a memorial, or for a particular field of study. The funding for the annual scholarship is due the first working day in August. Once your scholarship is established we will then invoice you yearly for the funds to continue the award. If we do not receive the funds then we know that you do not want to continue the award. Annual scholarships do not generate interest for all the funds are given as scholarships. Minimum amount is $1000 which is divided equally between the fall and spring terms.

The Columbia State Annual Fund allows alumni, friends, parents, corporations and foundations to make an annual contribution to the college and make the dreams of a student come true. The Annual Fund provides scholarship support to students. The need for more scholarship assistance grows every year in accordance with the increase in tuition. A gift to the annual fund touches the lives of Columbia State students throughout our service area and provides them with their access to excellence.
An endowed scholarship generates earnings year after year, ensuring that the on-going financial support for the scholarship will be sustained at Columbia State. Endowed funds play an everlasting and meaningful tribute to their namesakes. Many alumni and friends have contributed funds created in memory of professors that have touched their lives. You can also honor friends and family through endowed funds. In order to establish an endowed scholarship, a minium gift of $12,500 is needed. Payments can be spread out over three to five years. Please contact the Development Office if you, family or your organization is interested in an endowed scholarship.

The Keep Society (Knowledge Empowers Every Person) was started by the Alumni Association. This is a support group for the alumni scholarship fund. We are asking all Columbia State alum's to join the KEEP Society for a minimum gift of $10 per year to support alumni scholarships. All funds will be placed in the general alumni scholarship fund, unless you designate otherwise. For example, you could specify your area of study.
The Columbia State Visionary Society is a very special group of alumni and friends who have provided for the college in their estate plans through wills, trusts or life insurance. These gifts help to ensure that future generations of students will receive an outstanding education. Columbia State Visionary Society members are recognized by the College on a membership roll and are invited to attend special events luncheons and receptions.
